Originally the British head-quarters for the French tyre company Michelin in 1911, the Michelin Building was lovingly restored to a restaurant, shop and office space in 1986. It was bought from Michelin by Sir Terence Conran and the late Lord Paul Hamlyn who had long admired it.
Booking a table at the restaurant is simple, you can do it all in seconds on line and in real time. If you prefer to linger, you can take a virtual stroll around the fascinating building, visiting the Oyster Bar and Crustacea Stall while you are here. You can read about the history of Michelin House, and meet some of the people who were involved in the creation of Bibendum Restaurant, and who work here now. You can browse through menus and wine lists.
