The new Spring has arrived in restaurant

Oyster bar

While the focus is on shellfish, there are other seafood options, non-fishy terrines and salads, and vegetarian alternatives.

Interior of the Oyster BarThe setting is informal, with tiles and pictures depicting great races of the past, and the mood is relaxed, luxurious but not pretentious. There is little need for an excuse to visit – whatever the occasion, there’s always a good reason. A quick glass of wine with or without a nibble; an after-work cocktail; a lunch of half a dozen oysters and a glass of champagne; or a leisurely lunch or dinner with a vast plateau de fruits de mer, dessert, cheese and coffee.

Friendly staff are on hand to advise on oyster choice and the extensive wine list.

Chelsea Flower Show has been and gone, but we love our easigrass garden so much we’re keeping it all through the summer.

The winner of the competition to guess how many square
metres of easigrass was used has been drawn and will be
contacted via email very soon.

Half a dozen oysters

There are plenty of hedonistic reasons for eating oysters; but they are also high in protein, low in fat, and rich in zinc and other essential minerals.
